What Is The “Theme Manager”?

Introduction
This feature is for cPanel and WHM version 64. One can navigate to (Home >> Themes >> Theme Manager) to work on this feature.

This feature allows one to manage themes for the following interfaces: cPanel, Login, Webmail and WHM.

It uses the cPanel & WHM theme as the skeletal frame on which one can put the style, or skin. It contains many elements, such as HTML and CSS.

Themes
In order to manage a theme, one needs to click on Manage Themes.

 	Paper Lantern — This theme appears in the cPanel interface after cPanel users use the theme.

After clicking Manage Theme for this Paper Lantern theme, the system redirects one to WHM’s Customization  interface (Home >> cPanel >> Customization).

 	cPanel — This theme appears in the cPanel interface after cPanel users use this theme.
 	Login — This theme appears on the cPanel login interface.
 	Webmail —…

Themes

In order to manage a theme, one needs to click on Manage Themes.

  • Paper Lantern — This theme appears in the cPanel interface after cPanel users use the theme.

  • WHM — This theme appears in the WHM interface. Only the user (the web host), and the resellers can see this theme.

View a Snapshot

In order to view a snapshot of the theme, one needs to click on the view icon corresponding to the theme one wishes to view.

Clone a Theme

The system creates a copy of the theme when one clones a theme.

Steps:

  • Firstly, click on the clone icon corresponding to the theme which one wishes to edit.
  • Then, one can enter the name for the newly-cloned theme on the next page.

One must use the same name as the cPanel theme while creating a custom webmail theme.

  • Lastly, click on Submit.

It will be displayed it in the Themes table.

Download a Theme

In order to download a theme, one can click on Download. Old or unused themes can be deleted to prevent them taking up disk space.

Delete a Theme

In order to delete a theme, one can click on Delete and thereafter click on Yes on the following interface so as to confirm deleting of the theme.

Upload and Install a Theme

Steps:

  • One can enter the name of the theme file, or click on Browse, under the Install Theme
  • Then select the theme file.
  • Lastly, click on Upload. Thereafter new theme will appear in the Themes

Try a Theme

In order to try a theme, one can click on Activate in the WHM Themes list. The interface will immediately change according to the theme activated.

Addon Themes

Theme Manager can be used to install and update addon themes. These are additional themes that cPanel, Inc. or a third party provides.

To start with, one can click on Manage Addon Themes link at the bottom of the cPanel, Login, Webmail, and WHM sections of the Theme Manager interface. Then, install an addon theme.

Install an Addon Theme

To do so, one needs to select the Install and Keep Updated checkboxes for the themes to be used, and click on Save.

Uninstall an Addon Theme

To do so, one needs to click on Uninstall next to the theme that needs to be removed.

It is to note that cPanel is not responsible for any third-party themes that one install.
