In order to create more users or databases, make use of the PostgreSQL Databases interface. This can be found at the path (cPanel >> Home >> Databases >> PostgreSQL Databases).

Setting up a Database

In order to set up a database, follow the given steps.

  1. Enter the name of the new database in the New Database text box. The total length of a database name should be 63 characters or less.
  2. Click on Create Database to create a new database.
  3. Put in the name of the user who will be managing the database in the Username.
  4. Put in the new password in the right text boxes and confirm it.
  5. Click on Create User.
  6. Go through all the details you have put in carefully and click on Submit to add the recent user to the new database created.

Following this, the system shows a message to tell you that it has set up the database and has added the user account successfully.

More Options

Once you have completed the setting up of the database and addition of the user account, you can go ahead with either of the options below.

  1. Add another database: Select to go back to the beginning of the PostgreSQL Database Wizard to add more databases.
  2. Add another PostgreSQL Databases User: Find the PostgreSQL Databases interface in the path (cPanel >> Home >> Databases >> PostgreSQL Databases) to create more of the user accounts and link them to a database on the server.
  3. Return to Home: Take you back right to the cPanel Home

It is to be noted that while using the PostgreSQL Database Wizard to add a user and a database, the system will automatically allow the user access to the database to make modifications. There will be no additional need to use the Add User to Database feature.
