This is for cPanel and WHM version 68. One can navigate to (cPanel >> Home >> Email >> Autoresponders) for working on this feature. Autoresponder allows in configuring automatic email response messages. In a way this can be useful, especially when the recipient is not available.
It is to note that the system will deliver messages to the inbox in its usual way when one activates an autoresponder.
If a user wishes to view the autoresponders for a particular domain on one’s own account, he will need to select the desired domain there on the Managing menu, on the top right side of the Autoresponders interface. The interface will be displaying a list of the domain’s autoresponders thereafter.
In order to find a specific email address of an autoresponder, one needs to enter a keyword available in the Search text box and then click on Go option.
It is important to note that the user-defined autoresponders often neglect messages to which Apache SpamAssassin™ refers a score of 5 or more than that.
One can even add/create/edit an autoresponder, or, delete/remove an autoresponder. For adding/creating/editing an autoresponder, one needs to go the Managing menu and find the create a new autoresponder option. Then, steps like selecting character set from Character Set menu, entering email address, entering username, entering subject to appear in response, messages including HTML tags, specifying start time and stop time and finally clicking on create or modify in order to save the autoresponder will help in this purpose.
For deleting an autoresponder, one just needs to click on Delete option, available next to the autoresponder. Thus, the autoresponder, not on the desire list of the user, will get deleted.
The concept of autoresponder and its usage is outlined in this review.
