Enabling the Security Question Module

To enforce WHM users answer certain security questions when they log in, enable the limit logins to verified IP Address setting in WHM’s Configure Security policies interface (WHM>>Home>>Security Center>>Configure Security Policies). If the security questions are updated manually and then the ‘Limit Logins to Verified IP addresses’ setting is enabled in WHM’s Configure Security Policies interface WHM>>Home>>Security Center>>,WHM automatically adds the IP address to the list of verified IP addresses.

Updating Security Questions

  • Click on ‘Update Security Questions and Answers.
  • To modify a security question, first select the particular question and answer to it in the particular box.
  • Click Continue.
  • Verify your answer and click Save Answers. A confirmation message will be displayed.

Using the server’s root password, the security questions and answers cannot be modified. For that, click on Reset Security Questions and Answers.

Adding an IP address to the Verified IP Address List:

  • In the Access IP text boxes enter the IP addresses.
  • (Adding an asterisk in the last octet makes any IP address a verified one and the security questions may be skipped.)
