This feature is for cPanel and WHM version 66. One needs to navigate to (Home Security Center Security Advisor) for working on this feature. It not only runs a security scan on one’s server, but also advises one the ways in which any security issues can be resolved.
It is important to note that in case one’s system runs within a VPS environment, such as QEMU/KVM or Virtuozzo, the options that affect the operating system may not be available. In such situation, one needs to contact the VPS hosting provider for assistance.
The scan will automatically begin as and when one opens the interface with a list of issues in the following colors:
It is seen that most alert boxes contain links to the appropriate or proper WHM interface that allows one to resolve the issue.
In order to resolve this issue, one can click on the link to navigate to WHM’s cPHulk Brute Force Protection interface (Home >> Security Center >> cPHulk Brute Force Protection). This will allow one to configure one’s server’s brute force protection.
After one is done with resolving the issues, then one can lastly click on Scan Again so as to confirm that all the issues are resolved.
This feature helps to have a security check on one’s server and resolve issues affecting the server with certain technical ways.
