The Process to Scan a Service

To initiate a new scan of a service on an account, an user must perform the following steps-

  1. Select the Service to Scan
  1. Scan Mail- Scan all the account’s mail folder
  2. Scan Entire Home Directory- Scan all the accounts of the Home Directory
  • Scan Public FTP Space- Scan all the folders that can be publicly accessed through the FTP services.
  1. Scan Public Web Space – Scan all the different types of folders that can be publicly accessed through the Web.
  2. Click  Scan Now

In order to install ClamAV, the following process must be followed:

WHM>> HOME>>cPanel>> Manage Plugins

 

Process to Configure ClamAV

  1. Select the Services that the User wishes to Scan
    1. Scan entire Home Directory – Scan the entire servers Home Directory
    2. Scan Mail- Scan all the Servers Mail Folder
    3. Scan Public FTP Space – Scan all the folders that can be publicly accessed through the FTP services.
    4. Scan Public Web Space – Scan all the different types of folders that can be publicly accessed through the Web.
  1. Click Save

 

Process to Configure ClamAV for specific users

Whenever an user wishes to overlap the ClamAV configuration for specific users, the user should click – User Configuration. The User Configuration Interface also allows the user to set override defaults for all other configured users.

Process to add or remove Configured Users

The following steps must be followed to add user to the Configured User Menu-

  1. Select the desired user from the User List Menu
  2. Click Add
  3. If the User wishes to add all available users then the user must click Add All.

The following are the steps that must be followed to remove user from the Configured User Menu-

  1. Select the desired user from the Configured User Menu
  2. Click Remove
  3. If the User wishes to remove all available users then the user must click Remove All.
