KernelCare helps in automatically updating System’s Linux Kernel. It works without requiring a reboot. WHM and cPanel servers allow to purchase this License from WHM’s Security Advisor interface (WHM >> Home >> Security Settings >> Security Advisor).
There are three manners of purchasing the KernelCare license.
We can purchase a KernelCare License on our desired server by engaging in the subsequent procedure:
We need to log in as a root user in WHM or as a reseller account with privileges of the root level.
We need to navigate to WHM’s Security Advisor (WHM >> Home >> Security Settings >> Security Advisor) interface.
Next, we need to click Up-grade to KernelCare in the KernelCare Security alert. We will see that a new interface will appear after that.
The System requests for access to this account. This occurs if a user has logged in into his cPanel store account already. We need to verify whether the interface shows or displays the cPanel Store username and server name correctly. If so, then click Allow Access. A new interface will appear after that.
While getting a KernelCare License through the WHM interface, there is an automatic selection by the system. It selects the befitting sort of License for the server and helps in sleuthing the IPv4 address to License. For now, one can only be able to purchase monthly Licenses through the WHM interface.
After probing all available procedures, the server can compute and install KernelCare License mechanically. To check or verify whether the installation is done successfully or not, we can navigate to WHM’s Security Advisor interface (WHM >> Home >> Security Settings >> Security Advisor).
