Users may notice inconsistencies between the information on the bandwidth that WHM makes the provision for and the information that programs for log processing provide for. Changing the bandwidth limit

The limit of the bandwidth of an account can be changed. In order to change the bandwidth limit for a particular account, the user has to select the account that requires to be modified. While making the selection for your account to save changes, WHM shows information about that account. This information contains the IP address, the owner, e-mail address, start date, theme, and the package. The information that is displayed when you opt for an account from the list for account selection is given below.

  • IP Address: IP Address of the system
  • Owner: root
  • E-mail address: user@example.com
  • Start date: Year and time
  • Theme: xyz_new
  • Package: default

Please note that the Disk Limit means the account’s quota. The account’s package settles on account’s quota.

In order to make changes to the bandwidth limits, the following steps should be taken. They are enlisted below:

  1. Click on ‘Limit’
  2. Input the new bandwidth limit in the text box available.
  3. Click on ‘Change”

The system conducts checks on the bandwidth limits once every day. This happens sometime between 12:00 am, and 6 am. As a result, changes that are made to the bandwidth limit might not take effect until the checks are done.
