Perl module is for cPanel and WHM version 64. One needs to navigate to (Home >> Software >> Install a Perl Module) interface to install a Perl module.
A Perl module is a software in the Perl programming language. Often it is seen used in scripts. To integrate a Perl module into a cPanel, one needs to retrieve the module from a central repository and then install it on one’s server.
As a warning it should be kept in mind that this feature is deprecated as of cPanel and WHM version 11.36. So, if one disables this feature, it cannot be re-enabled again.
This feature helps the users to integrate Perl modules into scripts without any compulsion to make a separate path to the installed modules.
This feature allows one to search, download and install a Perl module from the CPAN repository. It is to be noted that if one is aware of the exact module name one wishes to install, then one can enter the name in the Install a Perl Module text box and click Install Now.
In case one fails to find the desired module, one can enter a new keyword in the Search text box and click on Go.
