Enable Moderation

The following steps must be performed to moderate installations in the WordPress cPanel Add-on –

  • The user has to navigate to WHM’s How to Install WordPress With cPanel interface (WHM >> Home >> cPanel >> Manage cPanel Add-on Site Software).
  • The cPanel::Blogs:: WordPress checkbox must be selected.
  • The Update Moderation option has to be selected.

Document root issues

The following statements are true in the following examples which relate to the Document root issues:-

  • The domain name is represented by example.com
  • The account name is represented by example
  • The sub domain’s directory is represented by subdomain
  • The add-on domain’s name is represented by addon.com

The following requirements must be checked when errors are encountered with WordPress:

  • Only one installation of WordPress can be hosted for each panel user in the document root directory.
    • The following are examples of document root directories:
  • /home/example/public_ html/
  • /home/example/public_ html/addon.com
  • /home/example/public_ html/sub domain
  • One WordPress installation may be contained in each directory.
  • cPanel account users can install additional WordPress installations if the sub directories are not a document root under the domain’s home/example/public_ html

Database Connection Errors

If a database connection error is returned by WordPress, the user has to ensure that the name of the database and password in the wp-config.php file are identical to the database credentials in the user’s account.

For a document root installation, the wp-config file exists in the /home/username/public_ HTML directory and the username represents the cPanel account name.

If the user wishes to change the database’s username or password, he has to go to cPanel’s How to Install WordPress With cPanel interface (cPanel >> Home >> My SQL >> Databases).

The user’s password has to be entered in the form that shows up. The system will respond with a success or failure message.
