How to upload a Locale in XML Format?

Overview
Using this feature an admin will be able to upload a locale to their server using an XML format. After a locale has been uploaded,  users will be able to select it through it the cPanel interface.The system will be creating all the required files if it is found that the locale is not present on the server.
The following functions will be performed by the system if it finds that the locale already exists on the server:Core files: Only keys from the XML data that do not already exist are added by the system. None of the keys are overwritten by the system.
Local edit files: The keys on the server are overwritten by the system using the XML data. If any keys do not already exist, they are added by the system.

Uploading an XML file

The following steps must be performed in order to upload an existing locale:

  1. Click Choose File.
  2. Select the Choose File
  3. Choose the XML file that needs to be uploaded.
  4. Select the Upload
  5. The Upload process will now be completed.

 

Uploading a Legacy Language File

Using the following interface you will be able to upload a language file of your own or a language file from a third-party.

Perform the following steps to upload a language file:

  1. Select this interface
  2. Click on the Choose File Select the file that you intend to upload from the list.
  3. From the Theme menu choose a theme that you intend to upload.

paper_lanternThe Paper Lantern theme’s language files are uploaded using this option.
Using a custom theme on the serverIf a custom cPanel theme is available, you must choose that theme to upload its language file. The language files for custom themes are stored by the system in the location: /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/themename/lang/ directory

Here ‘themename’ stands for the name of the custom theme that you have uploaded.

 

  1. Select the Upload option.
  2. Your Language File will now be uploaded.

By following the steps outlined above, you will be able to upload a locale to your server in XML format. The steps have been divided into two sections – uploading an XML file and uploading a legacy language file.
