This document depicts an unsupported workaround. We don’t ensure that it will work later. We unequivocally prescribe that you return FTP services to an oversaw state.

Remember:

Your server’s RPM-based services may utilize the unmanaged setting, regardless of whether you didn’t change the RPM’s objective settings. For more data, read the Why is my sevice’s RPM set to unmanaged? segment in our How to Set or Unset RPM Management documentation.

If you set your server’s FTP service to utilize the unmanaged setting, you may encounter issues with cPanel’s FTP-related interfaces. In cPanel and WHM rendition 11.40 and later, cPanel utilizes a touch file to decide if cPanel displays FTP interfaces. Additionally, cPanel possibly shows FTP-related interfaces if a framework administrator empowers FTP for the client.

Resolve the Touch file problem

Use the touch command to create the /var/cpanel/dynamicui/ftp file. The file determines whether cPanel will display FTP interfaces.

To do this, run the following commands:

  1. mkdir-p /var/cpanel/dynamicui/
  2. touch/var/cpanel/dynamicui/ftp

Remember:

The unmanaged FTP RPM may erase the touch record amid an update. If this issue repeats on your server, always remember to run this command after any updates or upgrades.
