How to Disable the cPanel Store as an SSL Certificate Provider in WHM

Introduction

Detailed instructions on how to disable the cPanel Store with the help of Manage2’s Update Company Information interface (Dashboard >> Company >> Update Company Information) as an SSL Certificate provider has been explained in this article.

 

The user’s access to SSL certificates purchased through the cPanel Store can be managed with the help of the same. One of the providers listed in the WHM’s Market Provider Manager interface  (WHM >> Home >> Market >> Market Provider Manager) is the cPanel Store.

 

By following the under mentioned instructions cPanel and WHM users can disable the certificate downloads from the cPanel Store with free cPanel-signed hostname. One should note, the new functionalities introduced in cPanel & WHM version 56 are the Market Provider Manager interface (WHM >> Home >> Market >> Market Provider Manager) and free hostname certificate.

Disabling Of cPanel Store As An WHM SSL Certificate Provider:

The following procedure has to be carried out through the Manage2 interface. For further details regarding Manage2, read the FAQ.

 

Following are the steps, one needs to follow in WHM’s Market Provider Manager interface (WHM >> Home  >> Market >> Market Provider Manager),  to disable the cPanel Store as a provider:-

 

  1. Sign in your Manage2 account.
  2. Access the Update Company Information interface (Dashboard >> Company >> Update Company Information) from the Manage2 dashboard.
  3. Select the checkbox: the Block servers with your company ID from ordering paid SSL certificates from the cPanel Store in the cPanel Store Integration section.
  4. Save the changes by scrolling to the end of the interface and clicking on the Save tab.

 

The success of the process can be verified on checking the providers’ list in WHM’s Market Provider Manager interface (WHM >> Home >> Market >> Market Provider Manager) where cPanel Store will not be any more visible.

 

Disabling Of Free cPanel-signed hostname SSL certificate downloads:

Do note, the following steps need to be carried out through the Manage2 interface. For detailed information about Manage2, read the FAQ.

 

The following procedure will assist the user in disabling downloads of free cPanel-signed hostname certificate with company ID.

 

  1. Sign in your Manage2 account.
  2. Access the Update Company Information interface (Dashboard >> Company >> Update Company Information) from the Manage2 dashboard.
  3. Select the checkbox: Block servers with your company ID from getting free hostname certificates from the cPanel Store in the cPanel Store Integration section.
  4. Click save at the end of the interface, to make sure the changes are updated.

On completion of this procedure, automatic downloads of the complimentary host name by servers with company ID, from the cPanel Store will stop.
