How can you Optimize your Website by Compressing Content?

Introduction
This feature is for cPanel and WHM version 64. One can navigate to (Home >> Software >> Optimize Website) to work on this feature.

This feature helps one in configuring one’s own server in order to compress types of content named automatically when visitors access that content.

One should note that the system administrator must enable the mod_deflate Apache module for this particular interface to appear in cPanel.

Manage Compression
Disable Compression Of One’s Website Content
Steps:

 	One needs to select on Disabled.
 	Then click on Update Settings.

Compress One’s Website Content
Steps:

 	Firstly, one needs to select on Compress All Content.
 	Then, click on Update Settings.

Specify A List Of Types Of Content To Be Compressed
Steps:

 	One needs to select the Compress the specified MIME types option.
 	Then, enter a space-separated list of the types of content that needs to be compressed in the MIME Types text box (as for example, text/html text/plain text/xml).
