This is useful, as and when a customer causes a poor reputation or spam listing of a reseller’s IP address. The hosting provider can segregate the other resellers and IP addresses from the customer with the poor reputation. All in all, this review will guide a user how to share multiple IP addresses with cPanel & WHM.

Create Resellers that Share Multiple IP Addresses

Step 1: Log in to the server

First step would be to log in to WHM as the root user.

 

Step 2: Add IP addresses

To add IP addresses, the user will have to navigate to WHM’s Add a New IP Address  interface (WHM >> Home >> IP Functions >> Add a New IP Address) and then add the IP addresses to the server.

Step 3: Reserve the IP addresses

Firstly, the user have to navigate to WHM’s Reserved IP Address Editor interface (WHM >> Home >> IP Functions >> Reserved IP Address Editor) and then reserve the addresses added in the previous step so that the system administrator cannot allot them to a particular user.

Finally, the name of the resellers are required to be entered, to own each of the IP address in the proper Notes text boxes.

Step 4: Rebuild the IP address pool

In order to rebuild the IP address pool, the user have to navigate to WHM’s Rebuild the IP Address Pool  interface (WHM >> Home >> IP Functions >> Rebuild the IP Pool).

Step 5: Create the reseller accounts

In order to create an account with reseller privileges, the user have to navigate to WHM’s Create a New Account interface (WHM > Home >> Account Functions >> Create a New Account). This process can be repeated to create additional reseller accounts.

Step 6: Create packages for the resellers

In order to create packages for the resellers, the user can navigate to WHM’s Add a Package interface (WHM >> Home >> Packages >> Add a Package).

Step 7: Configure the resellers

For this, the user needs to navigate to WHM’s Edit Reseller Nameserver & Privileges interface (WHM >> Home >> Resellers >> Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges). Then, select the reseller that is to be edited and click on Submit. The specific packages for the reseller needs to be selected. Lastly, click on Save All Settings and repeat this process for each reseller.

Step 8: Change the resellers’ IP shared addresses

For this, the user have to navigate to WHM’s Manage Reseller’s Shared IP interface (WHM > Home >> Resellers >> Manage Reseller’s Shared IP) and select the reseller to be edited and click on Submit. After selecting the shared IP address for the reseller to be used, click on Save. This process can be repeated for each reseller.
