Posted by Jamison on 17 12 2015.

Finally, all your preparations and planning for a custom Paper Lantern style have paid off: you are now ready to roll it out to your customers. So how do you go about it? Here’s what you need to know.

Pre-setup

Before you begin the deployment, you first need to upload the custom style you developed to a certain folder you would name based on your preference.

Let us say that the name of your company is ABC Hosting. The custom style you created is called ABC_Hosting. The style needs to be uploaded to a folder you should name “ABC_Hosting” in/var/cpanel/customizations/styled.

Step 1. Set the default style for all your users.

To set the default style, follow this procedure:

ssh root@server.example.net

cd /var/cpanel/customizations/styled/

Step 2. Disable the style-changing option for users.

In the customer’s package, you will find there an option named “Change Style”. Just unmark the checkbox so that users will no longer be able to see the interface and set another style aside from the one you developed.

Going for Paper Lantern’s Very Own Retro Style

  1. Choose the “Apply” option for the Retro style.
