On the other hand, if you are new to cPanel, you may not be able to fully utilize every function and feature of this powerful web tool and it may take some time for you to learn before you can use every feature that it provides. Fortunately, we can give you a few easy to do tips on how to maximize the use of this control panel, so that you can enhance and enjoy your first cPanel experience.
To make your website more interesting and colorful, you need to find some attractive images and upload them to your site. To do this you will need to add an HTML “.img tag” in the HTML code of your website.
You can easily accomplish this in cPanel by going to the cPanel homepage and navigating to the “File Manager” Interface and then clicking on the HTML Editor.
After uploading all the contents to your website, you need to optimize your site to increase the loading speed of your web pages. You can do this by compressing certain files and images to make the file size smaller, thus making it load faster.
To compress your files, locate the “Optimize Website” Icon found in the “Software / Services” section on your cPanel homepage. Click on the Optimize Website Icon to enter its interface and select “Compress the specified MIME types” radio button option. Enter the types of files that you want to compress in the MIME Types field provided and then click on the “Update Settings” button to start compressing the files selected.
You can also compress all files by selecting the “Compress all content” option and then click on the “Update Settings” button to process all your content.
After you have successfully setup your website, you need to create a cPanel backup of your site to prevent the risk of losing your data when unfortunate events occur.
You can do this by clicking on the “Backup” Icon located in the Files section of your cPanel Homepage. Once you are in the Backup Interface page, select the “Full Backup” option to backup your database, home directory, filters and email forwarders by clicking on the “Generate Full Backup” button.
After clicking the generate full backup button, select “Home Directory” from the Backup Destination drop down list to save your files to your web hosting server. Enter the email address where you wish to receive notifications if any errors occur during the backup process or when your website’s backup process is complete. Finally, click on the “Generate Backup” button to begin the backup process.
