There is an overwhelmingly loads of apps and online tools that are readily available for both entrepreneurs and marketers. While you have the power and freewill to choose which ones you need, you also have to think of how you are going to spend your resources. You should place your investments at the right places and make sure you get the right ROI out of these investments. while there are a lot of options available in the market, you need to carefully choose which one will best help your business grow in terms of advertising mileage.

Known as the market leader among other hosting providers, cPanel is a top choice among linux-based hosting businesses because it enables its clients to navigate through and easily access and manage their websites even without the need and requirement of being an expert in technology. With cPanel, misconceptions on website creation are debunked—first, you do not need to spend a lot in hiring experts, second is you, yourself, can manage your site and be good at it.

File manager is considered to be one of the most important tools of cPanel. You can use this to add, view, delete, or modify website files from your account. You now know well that cPanel promises convenience since you can easily access your website files by logging into your cPanel account, then select “File Manager” in the “Files” sub header.

The process is very simple, you just have to wait for the prompted dialogue box which will ask where you want to log into. You have the options on the tasks that you want to perform. If you want to go directly to your public html folder which basically keeps your account files, you can select “Web Root” and click “Go.” If you need to change anything with your .htaccess file, you should check the “show hidden files” dialogue box. After this process, you can now access your File Manager. You can begin to edit, delete, or remove your files.

There are options where you can choose depending on what you want to do with your file. You just have to right click on any file to see these options. These are the commonly used options in File Manager:

  • HTML Edit. You can use this if you want to change the appearance of your web page.
  • Code Edit. You can use this if you need to modify a code in any of your files.
  • You can use this to modify the code, but without the stylized look of the other option, which is the Code Edit.
  • You can use this to modify any of your filenames.
  • You can use this to remove any of your files that you no longer need.

After you have finished changing and applying all the modifications that you intend to do in your account, you can now click on “Save Changes”. Remember that you have to save a copy of the original code that you used so in case any technical glitch happens, you still have it and you can modify from there.
