Nameservers are initially setup from the Basic cPanel and WHM setup screen. However, there may be times when you need to add, remove, or modify nameservers. This feature is now accessible from the DNS functions screen of your WHM interface. When you click the original link, you will be redirected to that section of WHM.

You can enter the URLs to your support pages, as well as a contact method such as an email address. You may also provide direct links to support through each accounts’ panel. Being able to resolve your IPs is crucial to web users being able to locate the accounts on your servers. Although much of this is done automatically, there are occasions when you need to edit manually the resolver configuration file. This is the file that contains the names of the nameservers you have included for use on your server. Your server queries this list so as to resolve domain names into IP addresses. While there are multiple ways to do this, cPanel makes it easy to access the /etc/resolv.conf file by using the Resolver Configuration in the Support section.
