Licensing

Licensing for Litespeed is accomplished based on the amount of CPU cores on your server you would like to use Litespeed on.   For example if you have 2 single-core CPUs on your system, for best Litespeed performance you should purchase a 2 CPU license.  If you have 2 dual-core CPUs on your system, you should purchase a 4 CPU license because you have 4 cores.  Your license is valid for the duration of the lease period, free upgrades are included.

VPS Edition: VPS licenses are resource limited with the restriction of 2G memory and 500 concurrent connections. For VPS with higher specifications, a 1-cpu license is required.  Currently supported VPS platforms include Virtuozzo, OpenVZ VPS, XEN, VMWare and UserModeLinux VPS.  You will need one LiteSpeed VPS license for each virtual VPS instance (container), regardless of any “virtual CPU cores” you may have on your VPS instance.
